Short, Sharp Shocks

Austin Kleon’s new book “Keep Going” is the latest in his incredibly inspiring series on creative practice. Kleon’s books are fast and punchy and great to look at and I find I go back to them whenever inspiration or motivation are flagging. A few pages of one of these books and you’re itching to just DO something.

Likewise, Neil Gaiman’s “Art Matters”, illustrated by Chris Riddell is an equally quick read but one that just gets you fired up to create something and is another book I can imagine going back to over and over again for years to come.
Books like these are like rocket fuel for creators.
