School Report
I received an e-mail today, letting me know that my English teacher, Frank Craven, has died at the grand old age of 91. I didn't have any contact with him after I left school, which seems a terrible shame now. I loved his classes and would absolutely credit those two years spent with him doing English A-level as the inspiration for what I now do for a living. I think it probably surprised him that I'd actually had any success in the field.
Digging out my old school reports, I found this, from him. I think it's as accurate now as it was then:
"Julian is quick to smell the scent of an idea but seldom tracks it down to its source: he is not professional enough, yet, to convince me that he really knows what he's talking about."
